The Simple Woman's DayBook

FOR TODAY

Outside my window...
It's a beautiful morning!
I have the door cracked open a bit to let in fresh air and I can hear the birds singing.
It's so comforting.

I am thinking...How much I have to do before next weekends Civil War event!

I am thankful...For friends that give their time and energy to help us.

In the kitchen...
Coffee is on.

I am wearing...P.j's, Robe & Slippers
.

I am creating...A to-do list for myself.
Well, kinda.
I've been listing on the dry-erase calender specific things to get accomplished daily.
Otherwise, I get SO sidetracked!
It's not perfect and sometimes it doesn't get done,
but it seems to be helpful.

I am going...
To work on spending more time with my kids,
being more 'there'.

I am wondering...Why time goes SO fast?!

Not like clock time, but year time.

I am reading...The Good Wife's Guide
On the Banks of Plum Creek - school read aloud
The Robe - School
In His Steps - school

I am hoping...
That my kids learn to get along....

I am looking forward to...Going to the Beach!

I am learning...About Pitbulls.

Around the house...The chickens are growing, materials for the coop are too.
Dogs were washed yesterday.
Try my hardest to keep up on housecleaning, it's so difficult!
Who has time?

I am pondering...
Doctors.
I've always loved ours,
but I gotta say lately I've been disappointed in the office.

A favorite quote for today...
"To educate a man in mind and not in morals is to educate a menace to society."
Theodore Roosevelt

One of my favorite things...Pictures.
I love taking pictures.
I love looking  through old pictures.

A few plans for the rest of the week: School, Work, Ball, Sis has 2 more drives, Field Day for our homeschool group, Bug goes to the zoo, 4H Shooting Sports, Church, Doggie Obedience Class.

A peek into my day...

  1. I would love to go to the beach. I hope we get to go this summer. We don't have one close to us. The Civil War Weekend sounds wonderful. Have a great week. Doylene

  2. I grew up surrounded by lakes. Living here, it's been difficult - takes more planning to go and I MISS it! Not looking like I'll make it this week, but maybe Memorial Day?! I hope you get a chance this summer!
Thanks so much for stopping by. :)
