FOR TODAY

Outside my window... Its sunny! Its has been getting really cold at night and in the mornings but our daytime temps have been tolerable. Our poor Maple tree must be diseased. It is almost bare, sadly it has been dropping leaves for the past month, but there is a hint of a whisper of the wind in what is left.

I am thinking... Of everything I have to do before school starts, 

Of everything I still want to do this summer before school starts,

and Where did summer go exactly?!

I am thankful... For friendships. 

Being a mom, so often those friendships for us get put on the back burner. I'm really thankful for those friends!

In the kitchen... Dishes are piled in the sink. 

Good Ole Boy made french toast for dinner.

I am too exhausted to do anything!

I am wearing... Sweatpants and a nightgown.

I am creating... A pile of school materials on the dinning room table.

A toddler Civil War dress.

I am going... To be in bed soon.

I am wondering... Where the snakes are hiding?

The girls saw three snakes Monday and Good Ole Boy hasn't been able to find them!

I am reading... Nothing.

School Books are on hold.

Good Wifes Guide is on hold.

I haven 't had time to read lately.

I am hoping... For more warm weather!

I am looking forward to... Our next Civil War event!

I am learning ... How to sew.

Around the house... Not much I guess.

Hunny has some toys out in the living room.

Kitchen is messy.

Dining Room has the school books.

Oh! Bug cleaned the School Room today! 

And we have been working on painting outside.

About half the garage is done, most of the shed, and half the interior of the chicken coop is done.

I am pondering... What to do about Einstein.

A few plans for the rest of the week: Work, Digging out more school stuff for planning, A visit to the Chiropractor, A trip to the Alpaca Farm, and Church.

Outside my window... It has been a beautiful day! 

Now it is a lovely evening, all is quiet out there and a faint smell of smoke lingers in the air.

I am thinking...How much I love seeing kids dressed for reenactments, lol. Looking through a friends facebook album of his little guy all dressed up. SO cute!  

I am thankful...For my family.

In the kitchen...Dinner is about ready, and most of the days dishes have been washed.

I am wearing...Black Capri's and a purple Arkansas Crater of Diamonds T.

I am creating...My garden.

I am going...To be sore tomorrow from planting! 

I am wondering...Why the dogs are barking?

I am hoping... To get back into some sort of routine. We've been 'off' lately and I feel really far behind.

I am looking forward to...Going to the Lake Saturday to celebrate Bug's birthday.

I am learning...Well today I learned that maple syrup can mold. AND what to do about it. And don't walk away to wash dishes while you are boiling it because it will choose that exact moment to overflow...

Around the house... A mess. 

~~Broilers are still in the dining room. Yes, I have learned how messy it is to have birds in the house. The dust is unreal! Therefore, I am NOT dusting again until they are all out! 

~~The laundry room is overflowing with clothes needing to be put away.

~~The living room just seems cluttered with Hunny's stuff.

~~My bedroom is a disaster and I also have piles of clothes there that got carted in to be put away but that is as far as I got...

~~The side yard looks like a lumber mill. Now I'm NOT complaining here! Really - Good Ole Boy is bringing all sorts of wood pallets home from work and that is great for our project list (and pocket book) but it is seriously taking over the yard and needs to find a better location and some organization!

~~The coop is up. Not finished, but at least done enough that the original batch of birds has been put into it. Good Ole Boy did a great job. 

~~The back yard is full of cages needing scrubbed. 

Rabbit cages that were used to temporarily house chickens.

~~All around are various plants needing to find a location to be planted and a stack of bagged soil.

~~The yard desperately needs mowed!

I am pondering...How to fit everything in.

lol. Where does she come up with this? And why does she think Bug (as a tomboy) would care?  

One of my favorite things...The cool water from the sprinkler hitting me as I'm working.

Outside my window... It's a beautiful morning! 

I have the door cracked open a bit to let in fresh air and I can hear the birds singing.

It's so comforting.

I am thinking...How much I have to do before next weekends Civil War event! 

I am thankful...For friends that give their time and energy to help us.

In the kitchen... Coffee is on.

I am wearing...P.j's, Robe & Slippers.

I am creating...A to-do list for myself. 

Well, kinda.

I've been listing on the dry-erase calender specific things to get accomplished daily. 

Otherwise, I get SO sidetracked! 

It's not perfect and sometimes it doesn't get done,

 but it seems to be helpful.  

I am going... To work on spending more time with my kids, 

being more 'there'.

I am wondering...Why time goes SO fast?! 

Not like clock time, but year time.

Outside my window... The sun is shinning! The SUN is SHINNING! 

Now lets see if it warms up any...

I am thinking...That I need to get off the computer and get breakfast going.

I am thankful... For my family.

In the kitchen...Coffee is on in my wee little pot - but it's yummy. 

Roast is defrosting for steaks tonight. 

I am wearing...Blue jean capri's, Black hoodie, socks & Tennis shoes.

I am creating... Quite the pile of Civil War stuff, lol. I REALLY love my dad :)

I am going...To be SO happy when drivers training is over!

Around the house...Clothes are hanging on the line since it keeps raining they get almost dry and then.....

There is a pile of pallets in the side yard that Good Ole Boy is working on tearing down.

I got the 'magnolia' garden weeded over the weekend.

The Coop foundation has been built (first use for those pallets!)

Was able to FINALLY get the dining room spring cleaned over the weekend - with the exception of taking care of the Civil War totes. 

(Any other reenactors - do they EVER find a home or are they always out? lol) 

I am pondering... Why someone hasn't come looking for this dog?

A dog followed the kids home from the library last week - we are calling her Ahnnadewahi - and we still haven't found where she belongs!
